How gasless swap routes work

Gasless-capable routes can simplify execution overhead, but they only appear on eligible provider and pair combinations.

Short answer: a gasless route is an eligible execution path where the provider or relay model can cover part of the normal execution overhead for that exact pair and network combination.

Definition

On MindSwap, gasless is a conditional route label. It does not mean every swap is gasless, and it does not mean the route works without any eligibility checks. It means a supported relay-capable path is available for the exact quote returned.

When to use it

When the widget explicitly surfaces a gasless-capable route.
When you want to compare that route with other supported execution options.
When the route terms still match the asset, network, and destination you want.

When not to use it

When the pair no longer qualifies after a refresh.
When the route requires conditions you cannot satisfy.
When a direct onchain route is clearer for your use case.

Example

A same-network route may show a gasless-capable label on one provider and disappear on the next refresh if the sponsor or relay eligibility changes. That is normal and should be reviewed before continuing.

Caveats

Gasless support is conditional on provider support, chain support, route size, and live execution checks. It is not a permanent property of an asset pair.
